A day in the life of a student...
I nominate myself for the world's slackest uni student award. I'm currently on holidays but 4 weeks ago I participated in a winter unit, namely "Wine Studies" to make up my unit quota. For a week we tasted various wines and learned about the process of wine making. Very easy and very interesting yet totally irrelevant to my own degree which is communications and culture. 4 weeks ago we were also given an assignment which so happens to be due tomorrow. It is a 1500-2000 word essay about wine production, I have written oh lets say 300 words so far. I also have an exam at midday tomorrow on the same subject hmmm. I can honestly say I have never completed an assignment more than one day before its due date. Any advice on how I can become a dedicated, organised student? Does anyone think it matters as I have never failed anything? Who agrees that a uni degree means f***k all anyway?
Don't worry Lee-Maree, I have never completed anything sooner than a few hours before it had to be handed in. I handed in my final assignment for my degree at 7am the morning after it was due cause I knew they didn't empty the box until 8am. I say it means you work well under pressure which means you'll make a fab journo. The only thing my marketing degree is being used for is making up loony taglines for selling shoes on ebay. - Lauren
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt say its completley irrelevant I mean if your doing communications and culture I am sure learning about wine has made you a morey cultured person.
