Tornado Alley!

Last night at around 1.30am a tornado ripped through Settlers Estate in Australind causing widespread damage to around 50 homes with a few that are irreperable. I was unaware of this until my lovely boyfriend messaged once he arrived at work at 6am, my mother then phoned me at 6.30 am to see if we were alright (Pete and Lesley are up North, Italy has been put on the backburner). At the moment it is extremely windy and there is still a severe weather warning. Ashleigh and I have got candles ready and G will be bringing over a torch in case of power failure. We have also put a plan in place if a tornado decides to take out Lancier court. What on earth is going on with you mother nature, heatwaves in London and Tornados in Australind?! Please explain...

I'm glad to see you're ok, we were a little worried about you in class on Monday. Well, they were all worried, I just made some smart ass comment...

An email from mum advised the following:

Yes, Bridlington is just fine, we were so lucky. The tornado went up Crimp Crescent and ripped a 100 metre wide path of destruction all the way to Settlers Estate. I went for a drive after work yesterday and couldn't believe the damage. Twenty odd houses were destroyed, huge trees ripped apart, it was unbelievable. The Lotons place on Crimp was demolished, they had just sold it a couple of weeks ago, lucky for them but not for the new owners.

Those poor people can you just imagine?
