Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree how lovely are your branches...

I love Christmas and I especially love putting up the Chrissy tree, so on Thursday I purchased our very own Christmas tree. I had been buying decorations for the past few weeks and had long ago planned the theme for the tree, which is red, black and silver to co-ordinate with the colours of our interior decor. I bought one garland of tinsel and the rest of the decos are various styles of baubles, however I have since decided against the tinsel, it looks slightly tacky. I will be posting pics as soon as it is complete. Unfortunately there has been a delay because I was surprised to learn that the majority of the baubles do not come with string! How annoying, I have to string them up myself. G wanted to get a real tree to begin with, but I managed to talk him out of it, they're too messy and I'd just get annoyed because I would want a perfect looking one, they just don't exist. We were going to have a Christmas lights display (think Lancier crt, for those who know where my parents live) but Dad talked me out of it because we have no front yard, so we have just settled for a tree and Santa silhouette in the front windows. Ah the joys of the festive season...
